I received several comments to my post about a rational lawyer life. One commenter, Jaye at the Emerald City Solo Blog notes that she and I are on a similar journey. In visiting his blog, it is clear she is new to the blogesphere and a new independent practitioner. I love Jaye’s tag line which is "Toto I have a feeling we are not in corporate anymore. "I wish you all the best Jaye and remember that as an independent practitioner, you can create your practice in the image of yourself. The key is being a good person and following your heart. If you do those things, I am certain you will be successfully.
Another anonymous post states "I hear you loud and clear. This post smacks eerily close to me and my time in this new solo firm I started." I always hoped that this blog would be an inspiration to other lawyers, both stuck in big firm practice and independent practitioners alike. I am starting to see the fruits of my labor as we build an army of lawyers who truly do believe that the practice of law can be changed from within.
